A word from the Artistic Director, Anthony Hewitt

The Ulverston International Music Festival [UIMF] is considered one of the major cultural events in South Lakeland, providing high quality music throughout the year. Only with the support of individuals, who share our excitement and passion for excellence, can we provide the opportunities that will truly benefit the cultural life of the surrounding area.

As we prepare for each new season, the support of our Festival Friends is valued and needed more than ever. I hope that our annual June Festival will offer even more to engage our audience through a diverse programme of classical, jazz, folk, and opera, whilst our winter series and education work will continue to bring communities together.

Ticket sales cover less than a third of the cost of our work, therefore we rely on generous donations from our Festival Friends and grant-making organisations such as the Sir John Fisher Foundation. By becoming a Festival Friend, your donation will contribute to all areas of UIMF, from bringing wonderful performers and artists to South Lakeland, to new resources for our education programmes. I would be delighted if you would consider joining us as a Festival Friend.
