Beethoven 33 Variations on a Waltz by Anton Diabelli, Op.120
Ariel Lanyi, prizewinner at the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition pairs Alban Berg’s Piano Sonata, Op.1 with Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations. Berg’s emotionally charged single movement sonata creates a fascinating musical bridge between Modernism and Beethoven’s monumental Late Romantic masterpiece.
Performance duration: 75mins approx. (no interval)
Doors open: 12.30pm
The fully licensed Levens Kitchen is open between 9.30am and 4.30pm, serving a wide selection of hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes served throughout the day. Brunches are served from 10am to 12pm. Lunches are available from 12pm until 4pm.
